Girard-Perregaux celebrates a decade of its ladies timepiece Cat’s Eye, the brand’s tribute to feminine elegance and sophistication. At this occasion Girard-Perregaux announces their support of ROLE MODEL, the new coffee table art book by photography/directing duo Markus&Koala. This new duo creates a unique visual universe where glamorous, high fashion and street/youth culture elements blend in vibrant harmony. Koala’s photographic perspectives, from the viewpoint of a young multimedia artist, resonate throughout their work and add a modern, cutting edge imprint to Markus’ glossy, 70’s and 80’s inspired signature style.
ROLE MODEL will feature over 100 actors, pop stars, athletes and personalities. The book is inspired by the classic work of Helmut Newton as much as by the emerging image culture on Instagram and other social media. Girard-Perregaux will present an exclusive, early sneak peak of selected images from ROLE MODEL, scheduled to come in 2015.
From playful, to bewitching, from alluring to defiant, from prowling to enigmatic, the women photographed for ROLE MODEL represent the spectrum of the complex and diverse female universe. In addition to the preview, Girard-Perregaux and Markus&Koala will be auctioning the photographs on Biddingforgood.com with earnings to benefit different charities, each chosen by the model and actress appearing in the photograph.
