Four-time Formula One™ World Champion and Scuderia Ferrari Driver, Sebastian Vettel, prepared for this weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix by challenging local media in a virtual race as part of the launch of Shell V-Power NiTRO+ Premium Gasoline. The German driver participated in a special Shell V-Power NiTRO+ video racing game titled ‘Unleashed’, where drivers must avoid obstacles to protect their engine from gunk, wear and corrosion which simulates the role of Shell’s new breakthrough premium gasoline.

Vettel clearly demonstrated that his driving talents extend beyond the real world of Grand Prix racing by winning the race 4100 points to 1650 points against his competitor. Speaking to local media at the Shell Fan Fest Zone on Crescent Street, downtown Montreal, Vettel said: “I had a lot of fun competing on Shell’s Unleashed video game today and it highlights the importance of engine protection in your road car. The new Shell V-Power NiTRO+ Premium Gasoline is designed to deliver the best engine protection. In fact, the Shell V-Power Nitro+ race fuel that powers and protects my Scuderia Ferrari contains 99 per cent of the same types of compounds as the new Shell V-Power NiTRO+ for the road.”

The Shell V-Power NiTRO+ Unleashed video game is available to play this month at all Cineplex theatres across Canada. The game can also be played at the Shell Fan Fest Zone on Crescent Street, Montreal as part of the Formula One race weekend festivities. The Zone will be open to the public from Thursday, June 4 to Saturday, June 6 between 11AM and 11PM. In addition, racing fans can also put their driving skills to the test in racing simulators, explore a 3D journey through the inside of an engine and dress-up for a photo opportunity on the Shell winner’s podium.
