Williams Racing is pleased to welcome Craig Woodhouse as the team’s new Head of Communications. In his new role, Craig will play a pivotal role in enhancing the team’s global communications strategy and will work closely with senior leaders to lead all internal and external communications. Based at Williams Racing’s UK headquarters in Grove, Craig brings a wealth of experience from politics, business and journalism as the team continues to strengthen on and off track.
Craig joins the team from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport where he was Director of Communications. In that role he led government communications for major global events including the Coronation of HM The King, the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. A former Press Secretary to Prime Minister Theresa May, Craig also served as Director of Communications at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
Prior to working in public affairs, Craig enjoyed a decade-long career as a journalist on some of the UK’s best-known titles, including The Sun, The Telegraph, and The Evening Standard. He also advised several of the world’s leading companies during a two-year stint at global communications firm Edelman, including working on the Formula 1 account. As Head of Communications, Craig will lead Williams Racing’s engagement with media and develop strategies for effective communication with staff, clients and partners.
