Fortec Motorsports announces Brazilian driver Pietro Fittipaldi to race alongside Louis Delétraz in its Formula V8 3.5 Team. Richard Dutton’s team is the 4th outfit to complete a full line-up in the Series. The Brazilian-American driver Pietro Fittipaldi will make his debut in the Formula V8 3.5 championship with top British team Fortec Motorsports, after having completed with them a successful first season with this team in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. The 19-year old driver, grandson of the two times Formula 1 world champion and Indy 500 miles winner, Emerson Fittipaldi, will continue his progress in motorsport facing a new challenge in this ultimate single-seater Series. Fittipaldi had the opportunity to test the Formula Renault 3.5 car in the private testing days carried in Barcelona where the first official collective test of the Season will take place next 29th and 30th of March.
Pietro Fittipaldi: “I am very pleased to continue working with Fortec in this new chapter of my career. The championship will be very competitive, so I know that it’s going to be a big challenge. I am confident that we will have a strong package, but we will have to work hard in order to run at the front right from the beginning”.
